Face serums - The most effective facial skin care

What is it that constantly leads every woman to the shelves with beauty products?

One thing is certain: the desire for young and beautiful skin. As we age, our facial skin also loses its elasticity and moisture. In order for the skin to be shiny, healthy and with as few wrinkles as possible, it is necessary to start using the serum already in the twenties. When you reach your thirties, your skin loses a lot of elasticity, so even if you try to maintain a youthful appearance with proper diet and regular exercise, extra care is necessary, especially if your face seems to look tired.

Skin care products like serums are becoming more and more popular.

On sale you can find different types of serums, among which are face serums intended for deep hydration, filling wrinkles, antioxidation, accelerated skin renewal and many others. That's why it's important to know what your skin type is and what its needs are, in order to find the perfect serum for your face.

The key is to make the right choice face serum.

To begin with, we will clarify what they actually are face serums

Face serums are full of the most useful and high quality ingredients for the skin, which is why they take really little time to please you with good results. Serious skin improvement is possible in a short time, which is why serums are among the most popular products for skin care and rejuvenation. It is important to emphasize that face serums are not intended only for mature skin. You can use them already from the age of twenty, because it is proven that from that period the skin begins to lose collagen, and thus the youthful appearance. Although not so noticeable, the skin still changes, and therefore the serum can also have a preventive role.

Face serums are a concentrate, the strongest tool that acts directly on smoothing wrinkles and hydrating the skin and always works deeply. The role of the serum is to "bring" active ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, retinol, peptides to the deeper layers of the skin with its liquid texture much more effectively than cream. Serums are always used after cleansing and toning the face, and before the cream, twice a day. They differ from creams in that the texture of serums is much lighter compared to the texture of creams, i.e. the skin absorbs them much more easily using active ingredients. The task of the serum is to provide the skin with powerful ingredients, and since serums mostly contain smaller molecules that can penetrate deeper into the skin and bring concentrated ingredients to the deepest layers of the skin. Therefore, they are excellent for solving skin problems such as wrinkles, freckles, depigmentation and damaged tissue.

Face serums are a mixture of cold-pressed and essential oils, compounded so that we know exactly their ultimate mineral and vitamin composition. The main difference between creams and serums is that creams are formulated to keep the skin moist and protected, creating a hydrolipidic barrier between it and the external environment, while serums penetrate deep into the skin and provide it with the necessary ingredients. The serum helps the cream to work more effectively, because it penetrates into the deeper layers of the skin and opens the pores.

In addition to the fact that we should pay attention to the skin type when choosing a serum, our age also affects the choice. As we age, our skin changes. A facial regimen that worked in our twenties will do nothing in our thirties or forties. This is precisely why we have to adapt our skin care regimen to the age we are in.

As far as care in the twenties is concerned, this decade brings forth supple, elastic, youthful skin that has a natural glow and blood circulation. The tone of the skin is extremely good, and the level of moisture in the skin is the highest, so the role of the serum is to maintain this condition. In the middle of the twenties, the medical aging of the skin begins, which means that from the age of twenty-six it is necessary to increase moisturizing serums and introduce those with antioxidants, which will neutralize the first signs of aging. In the twenties, many skin problems are caused by a fast lifestyle and neglect of care. Everything has its price, so fine wrinkles on the face start in the second half of the twenties. To avoid them, it's important to start with a consistent skin care routine that includes sun protection. If you're out late, apply a serum containing pomegranate extract, vitamin C or grape seed extract in the evening. Antioxidants eliminate the harmful free radicals responsible for much of what we experience as skin aging, including fine facial lines, changes in pigmentation, and irregularities in facial texture.

In your thirties, depigmentation caused by sun damage or melasma and fine lines on the face are probably the two biggest problems, so you should regularly exfoliate your face. Women in their thirties need a face cleanser that "works" more than the one used in their twenties. Wrinkle creams for the eye area with UV protection are ideal for the morning, and moisturizing creams for the evening. For daily care, use an antioxidant-rich cream, serum or lotion before applying sunscreen. Add retinol to your regimen to improve skin texture. Apply at night as sunlight deactivates the retinol, rendering it worthless, and avoid applying it to the upper lids as it can irritate the delicate skin around the eyes. If you feel your skin needs extra moisture after applying retinol, use a moisturizer that doesn't contain added retinol.

As far as the forties are concerned, the correct selection of facial serum is of crucial importance: the production of collagen and elastin decreases, nasolabial and eye wrinkles become more pronounced, the tone decreases slightly, and the skin becomes drier. All these problems can be solved with an adequate face serum. This is the ideal period to start with retinol, which is the only ingredient with clinically proven anti-wrinkle effects. Also, for the forties, we suggest a stronger concentration of peptides, especially argireline, due to its paralytic effect on mimic wrinkles.

The age of 50 is characterized by loss of tone, sagging skin and dark circles around the eyes, so using only creams and serums is not enough. Regularly use products containing peptides, retinol or amino acids. Because ingredients like retinol can make skin more sensitive to the sun, daily use of sunscreen is essential. For daytime care, apply a peptide-rich serum before UV protection to help build collagen. At night, put retinol under your moisturizer.

The serum helps: lifeless complexion, premature signs of aging, loss of skin tone and firmness, uneven skin texture, appearance of blemishes, hyperpigmentation, lack of natural glow, acne and pimples. Depending on the different needs and conditions of the skin, there are different types of serums on the market. However, we can generally divide them into 4 large groups:
– anti-aging products that help fight wrinkles, premature signs of skin aging and loss of skin tone
- anti-hyperpigmentation serums that help remove blemishes from the face and restore the skin's radiance
- serums for oily and impure skin that help fight acne and pimples
- eye serums that help reduce wrinkles around the eyes.

When to apply face serums?

Face Serum is always applied to a well-cleansed face and neck. It is recommended to apply the serum every morning before the day cream, or in the evening before the night cream. It is always applied with a cream, almost never on its own. The reason for this is that its texture is light, and insufficient in itself for skin care.

It is always the right time to include the serum in your daily care. It is especially important to "listen" to what your skin is telling you and react in a timely manner. Don't forget that effective hydration and active ingredients create a barrier between your skin and irritating agents.

Once all the benefits of using serums on a daily basis are discovered, few decide to live without them. Deep nourishment that gives the skin a silky glow and an even more healthy complexion is something everyone wants. However, in order to achieve such an effect, it is important to know how to use the products correctly. Is the serum applied first to the palms and only then to the face or is it applied directly to the face, is the question that is most often asked after choosing the right serum. The answer is that there is no wrong answer, that is, there is no correct or correct way to apply the serum.

When it comes to serums with a pipette, it is recommended that the skin of the face or hands does not touch the pipette. In this way, the microbiological purity of the serum itself can be successfully maintained, and thus its effect. Namely, if the product is applied to your hands or if the pipette touches your skin, regardless of the fact that it has just been cleaned and washed, there is a possibility of contamination of the product. On the other hand, there is a difference in the second step of applying the serum: whether it should be rubbed, smeared or smeared on the skin. Although the method of application depends on serum to serum, that is, the consistency of the serum, it also depends on the type of skin, as well as on the "sensitivity" of the active substances in the serum. However, it is usually recommended to apply the serum by soaking. This promotes better absorption of the serum and prevents the product from heating up, as is the case with smearing and rubbing.

As for the amount of serum applied, the rule of thumb is that less is more. It will not increase the effect if you consume half the bottle in one use. Namely, in 99% cases, serums are the products with the highest concentration of active substances when it comes to the entire cosmetic range. For example, serums with hyaluronic acid in an "excessive" amount will not cause consequences. However, serums containing, for example, AHA or BHA acids, can be very harmful for you. It can cause severe irritation, peeling of the skin, as well as damage to the health of the hydrolipidic barrier. The concentration of active substances should be taken into account, as well as skin type, habit, i.e. the skin's resistance to acids and the like. In addition, serums based on AHA / BHA acids, but also those concentrated serums, as well as serum emulsions of acidic pH or alkaline pH should never be applied to sensitive areas such as those around the eyes. Therefore, it is best to familiarize yourself with the action of the active substances present and with the recommendations for use.

Additional tips: Serums containing hyaluronic acid should be applied to a damp face. Namely, it attracts and retains moisture on "its" molecules. If the serum is not applied to wet skin, the opposite effect may occur. This can lead to moisture being "pulled" from the skin, as well as dehydrating the skin. On the other hand, all those who like to add a few drops of serum to their moisturizer and apply it all together on their face should know that this is generally not recommended. In the best case, the concentration of the active substance in the serum will be diluted, and in the worst case, there may be a combination of different substances (from the cream and from the serum), which is otherwise not desirable to combine. That is why it is best to apply serums separately - before applying the cream and always on a cleansed face, and in the case of serums with hyaluronic acid on damp skin.

Although the serum is considered the best weapon in the fight against wrinkles and as a successful anti-aging agent, it has also been shown to be extremely effective with other skin problems. It is suitable for different skin types, so for people with oily skin it is a strong ally for facial hydration that does not clog pores. It is also used as a good solution for dry skin, redness, irritation, acne, facial skin whitening and spot reduction.

However you feel about serums, they are definitely a good investment. It should be borne in mind, when it comes to the amount of active ingredients, that no other preparation can match the power of the serum. That's why each of us should find a place in our kit for this powerful product.

So-called beauty elixirs usually come in small packages, with fine, transparent or milky shades of color, floral scents and a soft dropper on top. They look like real, liquid gold. To get the most out of the face serum, use it on areas where your skin is dehydrated, pigmented, lifeless, gray and wrinkled.

A few final tips:

  • You can use face serum in your twenties, while some serums are recommended only after the age of 40 due to the high content of anti-aging formulas.
  • Always check the ingredients on the bottle to properly adjust the face serum to your skin type.
  • If you have problems with dry and lifeless skin, apply the serum in the morning, while the evening appointment for applying the serum can be provided if you have skin prone to pigmentation and wrinkles.
  • What is very important to emphasize - be patient when it comes to achieving results. For that you need regular and proper application over a long period of time.

My goal is to find cosmetics that do the job in both winter and summer. I'm annoyed by the complete replacement of cosmetics due to changes in external conditions, because then I always end up with waste
