Apart from being a sign of elegance, well-being and enjoyment, perfume has a strong influence on the state of our soul. That captivating quality of perfume was especially the subject of our research through this new collection.
Tea, much like perfume, puts you in a state of happiness, energizes or calms you, helps you discover yourself and awakens your artistic skills. Tea and perfume evoke feelings that affect our thoughts. It is a well known fact that when you feel good you attract people, events and circumstances that enrich your life. By choosing your Tea and Perfume, you influence the state of the soul to create your energy and identity. Let's discover how inspiration, arrogance, mystery, poetics, courage or a nomadic state of mind would be expressed through fragrance.
A NEW APPROACH TO SALES
Two fragrant worlds are united in the concept of OLFACTORY TEA ROOM to provide a new scent experience. It starts with finding the tea and continues with the right scents.
My dear grandmother often told me about China - the Nine Dragon Wall, the Great Wall of China and its gardens, calligraphy, acupuncture, the lotus flower in a cup of tea, the smells and colors of teahouses. Through her wonderful stories, I traveled to a magical world filled with tea flavors and fragrant gardens.
Wanting to realize a childhood dream, I started working with perfumes to counter the lack of creativity imposed by globalization and commercialization. Fortunately, the emergence of art perfume inspired me to create my own brand STATE OF MIND, a brand that provides an experience where the choice of perfume is elevated to the level of a ceremony, like a tea ceremony.
This is how the idea of the creation of the OLFACTOR TEA ROOM was born, in which, based on the smell and taste of tea, olfactory impressions of a collection of exceptional fragrances, which go perfectly with teas, are developed. Both tea and perfume make you feel good by awakening sensuality and creativity. In the process of selection, your state of mind changes, raising your energy and refining your identity.
The tea ceremony is a time for reflection dominated by ideas of harmony, respect, purity and serenity. STATE of MIND is a place where we can reshape ourselves through the senses, combining the art of tea drinking with the philosophy and art of perfume.
Two great talents – perfumer Karine Dubreuil and tea and perfume artist Olivier Scala collaborated with me to bring refined, wonderful scents and flavors to STATE OF MIND.
STATE OF MIND collection of teas and perfumes is presented in special multi-purpose packaging and is supplemented with candles and home fragrance diffusers.
TEA MASTER OLIVIER SCALA
Olivier Scala, who comes from a family that has been importing teas for 5 generations, started his career at the age of 25 and very quickly mastered the art of trying the teas bought by his father, Raymond Scala. He became the head of the company in 1988. Under his leadership, the well-known family company has been expanding and developing its image over the years. In addition to his responsibilities in the company, Olivier Scala became the president of the French organization Comite Francais du The in 1988, and he is still at its head today. He was the originator of the first Tea Festival in Paris in 2005. He also gives lectures at tea school and gastronomy schools. His book Teas became very prominent in this industry.
PERFUMERIST CARINE DUBREUIL SERENY
State of Mind entrusted its olfactory identity to the Nose of Karine Dubreuil. Born and raised in Grasse, the perfume capital of the world, Karine pays tribute to her hometown by using the best perfumery ingredients in her creations. She was educated at the Givaudan school and worked for Mane and Drom before being hired as a perfumer at L'Occitane in early 2013. Since 2015, Karine has been collaborating with the famous Takasago perfume house. He is the creator of legendary perfumes for Lanvin, Guerlain, L'Occitane, Gucci, Lalique, Yves Saint-Laurent, L'Artisan Parfumeur, Roberto Cavalli and others.
